Where Our Inspiration Begins

Nice to meet you! My name is Alessandra Olisia Medeiros, and I’m a Brazilian textile designer at Nani. My purpose is to create prints that hold memories, the kind that stay with you long after you wear them. Creating for Nani is a reflection of emotion, adventure, and the quiet beauty found in simplicity, because every single detail matters! 
 
Creating for Nani is like bringing the beauty from outside: the trails, the lakes, the coastlines into our prints and designs. There are so many incredible places out there and we bring a little of each one into our creations, the feel that brings when you wear them and the moments that live in each piece. 
 
We also don’t find our colors in trend reports, we find them in nature, in the light reflecting off the water, shades of rock at sunset and tiny wildflowers that grow where no one’s looking. Each brushstroke is inspired by real things and the beauty we notice when we slow down in our adventures. We create from what lives beyond our walls, the beautiful world that keeps us moving.  
 
When designing a new collection, it all starts with the moodboard, our visual trail map. It guides the direction, the feeling, and the story we want to tell through each print. Then we start to play around with colors, textures, shapes and letting instinct lead the way, but there aren't rules, just following what feels alive, and if we need to shift paths and start again, that’s part of the journey — a creative hike that always finds its view. 
 
Design at Nani is never a solo act, it’s made by a unstoppable and passionate team that pours purpose into everything they create. Each person adds a little piece of themselves into every line and every tone. Together we test, chase ideas, and make sure everything fits within that Nani spirit — adventurous, effortless, and full of energy. And because we believe the best ideas are born outside, here are a few snapshots of our team — sketching by the lake, collecting colors from the trail, and chasing sunsets that later become our prints. 
It’s a reminder that design is movement, it’s life and it all starts when we step outside.
