On the right track but revisions needed!
I live in southeast Utah and so I was so excited to learn about Nani - a women-owned UT company oriented toward active lifestyles?! Sign me up! And while I wanted to love this, the design fell a little flat for me. I'm looking for pieces that hold up to all-day play in the rivers, canyons, and deserts of our region and this piece seemed to favor fashion over performance. The hood does not stay up in even the slightest breath of a breeze rendering the piece less functional as active sun protection for ears, face and neck. I wonder if a deeper, crossover hood pattern would solve this. I purchased this along with the matching Lake Short, which, while super cute, also had some design flaws. The waistband is heavy and uncomfortably tight in proportion to the hip and leg sizing and the rise seems too short - OK for walking or paddleboarding, but not comfortable for sitting/rowing a boat. Having pockets is great, but they tend to stick out while seated and are stretchy/not sturdy enough to hold a phone comfortably for running errands in town. I was also a little bummed to see that the clothes were made in China, but I suppose these are the times we live in. I hope this feedback feels more constructive than critical, Nani! I realize how hard it is to do what you're doing at scale and I'm cheering you on. Your colorways, beautiful prints, style choices, and approach all get high marks. I'm not giving up yet and will be keeping my eye on future releases.
